DRAGON THEO PAPHITIS AWARDS GLASGOW FAMILY BUSINESS

BBC Dragon Theo Paphitis has awarded Smith & Rodger, a fourth generation family business in Glasgow, with his first Small Business Sunday award of 2012.  Every Sunday Theo’s twitter followers are asked to enter a brief description about their company and after going through the hundreds of entries six of the best are chosen and retweeted to his +200,000 followers.

Smith & Rodger has been manufacturing wood finishes in Glasgow since 1877. During the 135 years the company has continuously evolved from one of Scotland’s most recognized paint manufacturers to now the only manufacturer of specialist wood finishes in Scotland. Their range includes floor finishes, waxes, wood stains, lacquers, polishes and restoration materials. They also run one day courses in French polishing for beginners and supply both the trade and retail sectors.
